Four real estate agents, desperate to sell the most undesirable properties and win their Cadillac car bonus. Anything less than success means they’re out on their ear. So, each one goes to more and more desperate lengths – intimidation, threats, burglary – to try and save their own jobs. Glengarry Glen Ross returns to London for a limited fourteen-week season at the Playhouse Theatre in an explosive revival of David Mamet’s award-winning production.
Mamet is no stranger to the West End, winning an Olivier Award for Best New Play and a Pulitzer Prize for Drama when Glengarry Glen Ross first played the National Theatre in 1983. The production has achieved critical acclaim on the other side of the pond too, with four Tony Award nominations for its inaugural showing in 1984 and a further four for the 2005 revival, as well as two Tony Award wins in 2005 for Best Revival of a Play and Best Featured Actor in a Play (Liev Schreiber).
This version stars Christian Slater, Robert Glenister, Kris Marshall, Stanley Townsend and Don Warrington, all themselves seasoned theatre performers as well as being stars of both TV and Film. With acclaimed young director Sam Yates at the helm, Glengarry Glen Ross promises to end the 2017 theatre season with a bang. Book your tickets now to avoid disappointment for this limited run at one of London’s leading West End theatres – full of lies, greed and corruption, it’s just another day in the office for these shady agents.
